Brent the Wonderful ...
a letter to Brent's Bosses from his customer
First, We at Smurfit-Stone Container
Corporation cannot say enough about the superior job that Brent
Temple has done over the years and continues to do for us. He is on
long term assignment with us as an Application Consultant, but he
has proven time and time again to be much more to this team. Brent
is one of the most intelligent IT professionals that I have had the
opportunity to work with throughout my career. Brent is a “member
of our team” and is totally immersed in what ever it takes to keep
our application, customizations and interfaces or whatever… working
for us, and to keep his customer delighted. He has spent the past
several months working on our 10.0 migration project, of which he
orchestrated almost single handedly. He only got us involved when
it was time to test to make sure he had everything right. He worked
and coordinated the technical aspects of the project with the Indus
Hosting team and then worked with them through many long days and
nights perfecting the upgrade for us. The upgrade is now complete.
Brent was there throughout the entire time, doing whatever he could
do to ensure our success. And, we feel that the 10.0 upgrade was a
huge success for SSCC. Brent is awesome, and Indus should be very
proud to have such an outstanding individual represent them with
their customers.

Kristin's Report Nov 2008
Hey everyone! I think we've reached an all
time high for "busy-ness" Kyra and Brendan played city- soccer, though
mid way through Brendans' arm was broken clear in half! He wore a cast
for about 7 weeks and is now in a brace.
Kyra is being homeschooled and she really
likes it, she is doing really well, (as long as she isn't on Facebook
too long!)
She made it on the middle school soccer
team. She's a lead defender and is doing really well. They've won 4
games so far and lost 1. We've had fun watching and cheering!
Courtney is taking 2 dance classes this
year, she loves it! a jazz/tap combo and a ballet class. She is the
youngest in her ballet class and it's quite challenging, but good for
her.
Kyra just started back with dance too, a
jazz/tap combo.
Holden just started Scouts in a new pack,
he's a weblo and having alot of fun, they go on camp-outs all the time!
Brendan recieved his weblo badge, and got 12
pins, and his arrow of light! He is now a Boy Scout.
Brendan and Holden just started in the
gifted program at school, I drive them to another school on Tuesdays,
and they spend the whole day there.
Brent almost has his black-belt, he just
hasn't been able to go lately.
I work with the YW now as 1st counselor,
it's been pretty fun. I also have my application in to be a substitute
teacher, and had an interview, it went well, now I just need to take a
class, and I can teach!
Brendan got a bearded dragon for his
birthday, he passed away, and now has a new one, Jacob. He's alot of
fun, just a tiny baby, a happy, jumpy little guy. Whew, exhausting to
just think about it all!

Hello everyone!! The Temples are finally
slowing down... for awhile...
Soccer just ended, so our saturdays are
now free, (yea). Kyra, Brendan, and Holden had a great year and played
really well. Kyra was in her first beauty pageant, and we were very
proud of how well she carried herself. She just started Junior High and
for the most part likes it, except her math teacher sends home math
every night. Kyra and Brendan both recieved all A's on their report
card. Holden and Courtney did well too, they both got all A's and B's
and 1 C in spelling for Holden.
Courtney just started dance class, and
she is so loving it, she performs for the town Christmas show/parade in
about 4 weeks. She also loves school, she is the biggest social
butterfly you have ever seen!
Brendan is now a Weblo Scout and he works
really hard for all his arrow points. He is still into creatures and
raised tadpoles into frogs and now is raising caterpillars to
butterflies!!
Holden is now a Wolf Scout and he loves
Scouting. He is so enthusiastic and loves his new uniform! His class
this year is so much calmer, he is enjoying school much more.
Brent is still doing Taek-Won-Do, He
recently recieved his 5th belt, blue, which is half-way to black belt!
He also entered a tournament and came home with 3 bronze medals! Watch
out don't mess with Brent. All the kids are also going to Taek-Won-Do.
And I'm just keeping the madness together
and moving along. I just started a new drug, Lyrica, it feels like it
is already working at keeping the pain way down!
Hope you all are doing well!

Hello everyone!
We are all doing pretty well. School and
activities are in full swing. Everyone seems to like school, except
Holden, he is finally getting used to going and doing his homework, but
he is not loving it. Courtney just started kindergarten, she does
really well and loves to be at the big school with the other kids!
I'm in her classroom 2 days a week. The class is overcrowded and they
asked for permanent volunteers... (I did say no to everyday....)
Today, 2 kids vomited, YIKES, I can just see it making the rounds at my
house now! I do get to visit the other kids classrooms while I'm
there and I've met some really nice moms. I'm "homeroom mom" for
Kyras' class I'm not exactly sure what I do, but her teacher is really
nice and easy to work with. (so hopefully forgiving...)
Courtney just did her play, she was "Katt
the cat" she was very cute, and did a fine job. Kyra does her play
next weekend, "Beauty is a Beast" it's really funny. Then we'll be done
with that. Kyra and Brendan just started football and Brent is
coaching Brendans team. He has found that he loves coaching! Brent and
the kids also started Taek won doe, it's for all ages, but I opted out.
It's quite physical and challenging for everyone. Brendan joined
Holden for piano lessons and he is also doing very well at it. (It's
just the practicing that is difficult!) We recently got an older
upright piano! It's pretty, but needs worked on and tuned. I had
a great time visiting Maren and family! Her little girls were so cute
and Gwen was so much fun! Next I get to go see little Keller, I'm
pretty excited. That's about it, I hope all is well with all of
you,
Love,
Kristin and family
Kristin's Report 5/22/06
Well Summer is here in Florida! The kids
just got out of school friday! So far so good.
Courtney had pre-school graduation, (I
never heard of such a thing!) But, whew! I'm so glad she made it, I
wasn't sure there for a minute. It was cute with the kids singing.
The kids all had fun parties in their
classrooms, it's a big traditional all-day thing, and parents come.
It's nice that they do that, a little exhausting, but they sure had fun.
Kyra was invited to a slumber party where
they had their own huge lake! She had a great time, and she won the
"staying up the latest" contest! (those of you who know, know that's not
a good idea for Kyra) She was a mess the next day, and day after that.
I've been working out a plan to manage my
fibromyalgia. I just got a nutritional supplement, and a natural
sleep-aid. I think I may need something stronger to help me with
sleep. Next is an excercise plan, and to find a doctor. From all I
read I'm becoming hopeful.
We have a few summer camps for Brendan
and Kyra; Kyra has theatre camp and maybe 4-h sewing camp. Brendan has
cub-scout camp and maybe 4-h nature camp. I couldn't find the right one
for Holden, so maybe I'll find swimming lessons, he's still taking piano
and doing really well.
We've got this bigger than usual blow up
pool in the backyard and getting alot of use out of it.
Our next couple of projects around here
are; a fence, playset, and driveway. Hopefully all this summer.
I hope all is well with all of you,
much love,
Kristin and family
Kristin's Report 2/14
Happy Valentines Day! Things are going well here. We are
almost done with basketball. Brent and I are both assistant coaching
the kids' teams. Everyone really has fun, except Holden, he decided
he didn't like basketball, he was a "music guy, not a sports guy" He
started piano in Jan. and justs loves it, his teacher says he's doing
great!
Kyra we are finding out has a real passion for sports! She is
pretty good and tries hard to improve. Though at times she is the
"Jon Mackenro" of basketball! She is so serious. She just started a
new asthma medicine and is a lot healthier, (she starts allergy shots in
April.)
Brendan likes it as well, though if he is tired, he doesn't care as
much about the game. He keeps improving as well.
Courtney loves it, she is one of the youngest so they don't really
throw her the ball, but she'll be ready next year.... and she plays very
well defense!
Soccer is next and I thought we'd have a break, but Kyra and Brendan
decided they'll play and they love soccer.
Brent and I recently went to Orlando for a few days while mom and dad
watched the kids. We had a great time, we went to Universal, and
came home along the coast it was really nice.
We just got a nice tax refund and are planning to use some on our yard,
Brent has 2 palm trees picked out. We'll get our vegetable beds
ready and flower beds, trees, shrubs etc... Maybe a nice swing set.
We still need a drive-way, but that'll be next.
School is still going very smooth, (though, we're having trouble with
bullies on the bus.)
I just started working the nursery at church, it's fun except this one
little girl escapes and runs like a demon!
Brent is still enjoying his work and doing really well.
I hope all is well with all of you, much love, Temples
